User Interface Designer - Mobile/Tablet Disruptor Beam
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Are you a user interface designer who loves games? Are you interested in enhancing Disruptor Beam?s current products and leading the design effort on new games? Do you enjoy working closely with engineers, getting hands-on to implement user interfaces directly in the product build process? If you answered yes to these questions, this might be the position for you! This is an on-site position in Framingham, MA.
Develop high-level wireframes, storyboards and mock-ups of user interface concepts.
Perform hands-on implementation of UI within visual development environments
Work with game designers to identify optimal user flows and structure experiences for maximum enjoyment.
Be able to lead the UI design effort for new products: make key decisions and mentor other developers.
A deep love of games along with a broad set of knowledge about how user interface challenges have been addressed in game products: especially mobile and tablet games.
Experience developing user interfaces within one or more of the following environments, with an emphasis on touchscreen interfaces: Unity, Xcode and/or Android. You do not need to be able to write C#, Objective C or Java code for this position, but we do need you to be comfortable doing hands-on implementation within the visual design environments in these tools.
Experience developing for variations across different devices and sizes (e.g., smartphone vs. tablet versions of the same UI)
Experience working within an agile software development team environment.
Experience with tools useful for developing mock-ups (Photoshop and presentation software)
Nice to have but not required: experience with website development using HTML/CSS/jQuery websites.
Also nice to have: experience working within test-driven and/or data-driven design environments using A/B testing methodologies to iterate design improvements.
We prefer candidates with a track record of shipping commercial game products, but we?d be willing to consider anyone extraordinary!
