Position Overview
We are seeking a talented User Interface Designer that understands the web thoroughly. This role requires a candidate who is passionate about design and constantly driven to improve and simplify user interfaces and interactions. As such, design work should be clean, focused and inspiring to others.
This individual will work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering teams to create elegant user experiences that facilitate what users would like to do on desktop and mobile devices. The tasks include conceptualizing and designing original interfaces as well as simplifying current ideas to bring simplicity and ease of use to complex design challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements into compelling design concepts for mobile and user desktops
• Create interaction models, user task flows, screen designs and UI details that promote ease of use
• Visualize complex sets of data in ways that are easy to comprehend
• Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups and specifications
• Collaborate with other designers to ensure consistency of design and to increase the design IQ of the team
• Participate in design research and user feedback sessions to inform and improve designs

Skills Required:

• Extensive experience designing web application interfaces
• At least three years of hands-on design experience
• An online profile that demonstrates your passion for design and proven track record for delivering compelling designs
• Degree in design, or 5 years hands-on design experience
• Knowledge of best practices and tools used in user-centered design
• Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design and visual design principles
• Strong visual design skills, including eye for good typography, composition and use of color
• Experience designing to mobile and desktop applications
• Ability to design in Photoshop, OmniGraffle, and Illustrator
• Ability to prototype your work in HTML/CSS/JS, preferred
• Experience designing for data visualization, preferred
