Role
Pascal Metrics has an immediate opening for a User Interface Developer to join our team at our headquarters in Georgetown, Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have experience developing user interfaces for robust web applications and be passionate about building dynamic user experiences using the latest in emerging UI tools and frameworks.
If you love to enhance the user experience, reduce overwhelming datasets into simple visual representations, or can otherwise demonstrate a passion for cutting-edge design and development, we welcome you to apply for a position with us.
What We're Looking For
- Self-motivated, prolific Engineers who enjoy working within small teams, and who take pride and interest in their craft beyond just the job description
- Thorough knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript/DOM
- Solid experience with one or more JS frameworks like jQuery, YUI, or Dojo
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment driven by a competitive startup mentality
- User Interface and Experience junkies with framework expertise using Bootstrap, Blueprint, etc.
- Experience with template engines and web application frameworks like: JSP, Velocity, Groovy, etc.)
What We'd Like To See (i.e. Pluses)
- Experience designing complex data visualizations
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
- An interest in MVC frameworks such as backbone, ember, angular.js etc
- An interest or experience in OO CSS methodology
- Appreciation for scrum and similar agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with UI design for mobile platforms such as the iPhone, Android, or Blackberry
- Exposure to server-side programming in Java, Ruby, or Python,
