Job Description:
We are seeking a UI Developer / Architect to join our innovative cloud-based Web 2.0 product development team. The successful candidate will use their Web 2.0 product development skills to design and implement state-of-the-art web/portal applications for a cloud services brokerage platform. The UI Architecture based on J2EE/JSF with Ajax components using IceFaces and Facelets. The candidate will be responsible to work with the requirements team to detail the application requirements and then develop a design and implementation and work with the QA team to test, merge, and deploy the solution. This candidate should have very strong skills in Web 2.0 user interface design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, implement, test, and maintain the current web application products and their new releases
Translating functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs with a keen eye for usability
Maintain and enhance the current UI development frameworks
Work with internal and outsourced teams for communicating and supporting the UI development frameworks
Participate in the overall development process through design/code reviews and estimation/planning assistance
Investigate new technologies and advances, especially in the areas of Web 2.0 and other rich client approaches
Qualifications:
Required:
At least 7 years of Java and web application development in J2EE
B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas
Experience in Java Server Faces (JSF) development and UI Design using JSP, HTML, CSS, Ajax and/or JavaScript
Skilled in using Eclipse IDE for development and debugging
Competency with SQL queries and relational database access
Strong UI design concepts with List Views, Tab Views, popups, navigation, dynamic table, form components, charts, and graph-type visualizations
Familiarity with following tools/technologies
Rational Software Modeler and/or Rational Rose
ICEFaces JSF Frameworks with Facelets
EJB 3.0, REST/SOAP Web Services
JBoss, MySQL, Hibernate, FusionCharts, myBatis
Preferred
Exposure to Cloud Services such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS with providers such as Amazon, Terremark, Savvis, etc.
Experience developing with IceFaces/Facelets
Experience with HTML5/CSS3 web application development including Canvas/SWG/ARIA
Design complex SQL queries for reporting/performance
Proficiency in working with XML, maintain and enhance the XML based data required for the application
Section 508 UI Accessibility compliance development
Multi-browser support development - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari
Data import and export using Excel/PDF based on Apache POI and iText
Ability to read and analyze UML class diagrams
Graphic design training or background (multi-media or web-design in particular)
