The ideal candidate is a great designer with a can-do attitude who knows the web and digital media, but also has mobile design experience. They should be a creative person with a great work ethic. This designer must be a self-starter who is not only a talented visual designer but can also participate in presentations, in addition to playing an integral role in the future of our products.
Primary Duties
Work closely with our product management and software engineering teams to ensure that high quality user experiences are integral to our products
Maintain design consistency of look, tone and feel of assigned projects
Translate spoken and written requirements into wireframes and pixel-perfect interface designs
Participate in product meetings, present concepts and provide direction for design projects as required
Conduct usability evaluations of existing systems and competitive research
Collaborate closely with the UI/UX Director, product managers and software developers to ensure a smooth transition of design into development
Provide rationale behind design decisions, and disseminate information to both product and technical teams
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated web design, interface design and mobile design skills
Excellent command of Adobe Photoshop
Comfortable with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism
Working knowledge of HTML & CSS
Strong communication skills
Superb information design abilities and problem solving skills
Strong understanding and practical application of UI/UX principles and practices
Self motivated, organized and accountable
Positive attitude, organized and energetic
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3+ years experience doing UI/UX design
Experience with HTML5 and prototyping a plus
