As the first quantitative user researcher, you r primary responsibility is to establis h user experience metrics for Airbnb . Working closely with the qualitative researchers and analytics teams , you'll conceptualize meaningful and creative ways to measure user experience.
You will answer questions like, what is the best way to measure traveler happiness , satisfaction, or love ? What are the priority moments or experiences that drive loyalty ? How do new designs affect user sentiment? How has user satisfaction changed over time , and what caused the change ?
Define and track UX metrics
Define the key metrics that reflect traveler and host happiness
Determine the best way to measure important aspects of the user experience whether via survey, logs, etc .
Inform experimental design for a/b test ing
Partner closely with our Analytics team
Own survey design and analysis across Airbnb
Run the quarterly survey program
Determine survey design (and inform others' survey designs)
Ensure a user-friendly survey experience
Coordinate translations when needed
Manage member list
Communicate to Product and Airbnb as a whole in a digestible, actionable, inspiring way
Keep up-to-date on relevant, 3rd party research and communicate (and integrate) as needed
Degree with emphasis on quantitative research methods (preferably in statistics, social sciences, human-computer interaction, economics, or a related field)
3+ years of relevant industry experience
Proficiency with statistical analysis tools, e.g. R or Stata
Experience with SQL
Ability to have an empathetic, human-centric approach to analysis
Know which methods are best given the question at hand
