ResponsibilitiesBring insights about users by a variety of methods, both qualitative and quantitative. You take questions and convert them into a research plan, using the appropriate method whether it be surveys, interviews, logs analysis, usability studies, ethnographic observation or a new method you invent.
Share findings with designers, engineers, and others that make the product better and the team smarter and more empathetic.
Inform product at various levels whether by doing foundational research that informs all of product or whether it's closely tied to a particular effort.
Requirements
Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
3+ years industry experience
Expert in survey analysis, including survey design and regression analysis
Experience in qualitative methods, such as interviewing and ethnographic observation
Experience in quantitative methods, such as statistical analysis, logs analysis, and a/b testing
Experience with statistical analysis tools, e.g. R
Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams
Ability to have an empathetic, human-centric approach to analysis
Big pluses
Ability to code in Ruby or Python
Experience with visualization language, e.g. using Javascript for interactive visualizations on the web
Experience with SQL
