Right now, Mobile Commons is seeking a freelance or full-time UX Designer with a passion for intuitive and elegant user interfaces. Over the next year, we will launch four new products that we believe will offer revolutionary opportunities for communication across different industries. We?re looking for the person who will design the user interfaces that will make them possible.
The UX Design Lead will work collaboratively with members of the Product team to create and refine product features, with engineers to help bring mockups and prototypes to life, and with our accounts team to make sure that the end users? feedback is incorporated into subsequent releases.
As UX Design Lead, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the next stage of our rapidly growing company. Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the UX and visual design of our suite of web-based products
Work with the product manager and technical team to map and design efficient and friendly interactions between businesses and the Mobile Commons products
Plan and conduct user requirements gathering and analysis, competitive research, conceptual modeling and usability testing
Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, prototypes, and interaction design specifications
Plan for each new product offering based on an astute understanding of the architecture connections between individual product features and the current Mobile Commons platform
Work with Marketing to explain the vision for a product
Use version control and bug tracking systems to manage design resources for multiple versions of multiple products simultaneously
- Contribute to the definition scope and phasing of project timelines
- Be a champion for usability
Requirements
A proven background working with teams to design and implement elegant user interfaces for web applications
Excellence at creating sketches, wireframes, mockups, and production graphics
Experience conducting user testing and user feedback sessions
Strong understanding of web development and design constraints (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Cross-browser considerations)
Sophisticated sense of typography, applied color, composition and visual hierarchy
Proficient knowledge of Balsamiq, Axure or comparable prototyping tools
Flex/Flash knowledge a plus
