As a UX Designer, you will establish and document guidelines for visual and interaction design standards. Contribute to the evolution and strategy of design policies and practices. Work in cross-functional teams, to plan, prioritize, and deliver information architecture, interaction design, visual design/page layouts, tools, services and applications to support the complete cohesive user experience.
Leverage modern web technologies to define innovative user interfaces and interaction models that result in improved user productivity and operational efficiency.
Work closely with key stakeholders to communicate design strategy and rationale.
Make understanding end user requirements a constant priority.
Educate internal teams on best practices around information architecture, interaction and visual designs, usability and supporting technologies.
Qualification and Requirements
Highly innovative and able to design a user interface that simplifies the user experience.
An eye for creating simple, easy-to-use interfaces for a rich and complex set of features.
Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web/mobile products.
Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables.
Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong self-management skills and the ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.
An ardent belief that better work is done through collaboration and iteration.
A belief in the importance of prototyping, an ability to lead and deliver prototypes at various levels of fidelity.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
Professional Experience
5+ years of experience in design complex enterprise level desktop and web applications. Created seamless and consistent user experiences.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in design, human computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
Track record of developing and delivering successful, intuitive, and compelling designs, which contribute toward market leadership.
Strong knowledge of the product life cycle required to ensure consistently great user experience in a series of software products.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to successfully develop and deliver shipping products.
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
Profressional & Technical Competencies
Successful track record of delivering integrated high end user interfaces on schedule, on budget, and on quality.
Deep knowledge of user center design processes and methodology
Broad knowledge and advanced skills in interaction design, information architecture, usability evaluation, and appropriate technologies
Solid understanding of interactive web technologies (HTML/CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, Flash, Ajax) and industry trends and experience designing applications leveraging these trends.
Experience gathering and documenting user requirements while supporting the creation of business and functional requirements.
