GSN is seeking an experienced HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) designer with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of user experience. Reporting to the Creative Director, you?ll work with a passionate group of world-class designers on a wide variety of web and mobile games. As the right fit, you?ll thrive in a supportive environment that?s low on hierarchy and high on team-based collaboration, feedback, innovation and the creation of fun and joyous experiences for over a million daily active users.
About Our Ideal Candidate
You know the ropes when it comes to exceptional user experience. Your designs are created to empower a user with knowledge, opportunity, direction and celebration, and are grounded by insight into the intended audience.
You enjoy collaborating with various teams (Game Design, Game Production, Product) to solve design challenges and find the easiest, simplest way for users to get from point A to point Z.
You design working product mock-ups, wireframes, interaction workflows, functional prototypes and click-through demos of key user interface areas (such as first time play, tutorialization, and gameplay progression).
You are empowered to leverage analytics, user testing and customer feedback and apply them intelligently into iterative design solutions. You'll then partner closely with visual designers and developers to create and implement new features while updating and refreshing current ones.
You may have considerable experience in game development, but you?ve also designed web applications (or vice versa). Mobile design experience is a big plus!
You believe in the importance of prototyping and have ability to lead and design UI prototypes at various levels of fidelity.
You have the adaptability and perseverance to produce multiple rounds of designs in order to find the most user-friendly solution.
You?re an excellent written and verbal communicator. You have a knack for succinctly capturing a complex concept, weighing all variables and expressing them to others, giving (and receiving) product-centric feedback, and establishing a deep rapport with your teammates.
You can serve as an advocate for the user while still maintaining an understanding of the brand and business needs.
You can manage multiple design projects and see them through from concept to realization while doing everything possible to ensure their success.
