PingIdentity is in search of a strong UX Researcher to join our UX Team. The UX Researcher will help set strategy for user research across the three core Ping products: PingOne, PingAccess, and PingDesktop. You will design and conduct user research studies across the product cycle from the concept phase to post-launch evaluation. You will be responsible for deciding on methods and timelines for research, and demonstrating positive impact on projects and products. This role will report to the Director of UX.
Locations: Colorado,British Columbia (Vancouver)
On a day-to-day basis, you will work within the UX team with interaction & visual designers, and also with the product management team. At Ping, gathering high quality data from our users is a critical component.
Provide research plans that will yield valid and informative insights into our users? behaviors, the context of their day, their use and understanding of the product, and their needs for features and functionality.
You will be called upon to utilize a broad array of user research methods, including field interviews, usability inspections, usability studies, online surveys, analysis of application or web server log data, and customer councils.
Provide rapid, concise and insightful analysis of research results to the UX and PM team to allow for rapid iteration and evolution of our products. If you are the kind of person who enjoys writing beautiful 20 page reports, this job is not for you.
B.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field. MA or PhD in related field such as HCI is desirable. Degree program and/or coursework in research & statistics is also desirable.
1-3 years of relevant work experience. Recent masters degree graduates should also apply.
Experience with various research methods, including lab-based usability studies, field interviews, heuristic evaluations, and online surveys.
Excellent analytical ability, especially with regard to observation of user behavior.
Superior presentation, oral and written communication skills. Ability to make a case and back it up with relevant data.
Technical background and ability to understand the identity space and the Ping products is required.
Enthusiasm and positive energy is a must.
