The Vice President, HR will provide leadership and direction for the organization?s HR strategy to ensure global organizational effectiveness and development in a high growth semiconductor company. The Vice President, HR will be accountable for the professionalization and standardization of HR procedures throughout the company. Ensures HR processes comply with regulatory and legal requirements globally to minimize risk to the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
As a member of and resource to the senior management team, providing leadership in the staffing, organizational structuring and employee training and development of functional areas.
Building a team of HR professionals by creating and leading an HR strategy that is adaptable to increasing company size and changing internal organization.
Collaborating with officers, VPs, and directors to implement best practice HR policies, systems, processes and programs that result in attracting high quality talent, the retention of key employees, provide world class employee skill development, succession and workforce planning, rewards and recognition, employee safety and wellness, and equal opportunities and diversity, across all functional groups.
Lead and oversee development of accurate and timely delivery of best in class core HR services across worldwide operations, including hiring, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and problem mitigation, in order to ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with employment and immigration laws across various countries in which the company operates.
Serve as the ethics point of contact for the company?s whistleblower policy, providing information and timely resolution of issues, support, and education.
Manage the Human Resources department budget as well as companywide training budget.
Occasional evenings and weekends required to connect with international offices as well as occasional travel to office locations.

Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels of the organization and from all cultural backgrounds.
Experience implementing the planning and execution of effective high quality talent acquisition and retention programs
Experience in the integration of an established culture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of human resources laws and policies on a global basis
Knowledge of federal and state regulations
Knowledge of organizational development principles
Knowledge of compensation practices and application of those practices
Strong organizational skills, particularly in regards to employee files and documentation, and communications within the company and with outside organizations.
Practices and promotes integrity and ethical behavior, and ability to set that tone for the entire organization
The following traits are highly valued:
Experience in the semiconductor industry, with a global progressive business with sales of $200 million or more
Experience in the recruiting and development of technical teams, and in a high growth company
Experience in high growth companies
Demonstrated hands on experience in building and development of organizations
Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking required to develop and maintain leadership talent required by the company to achieve its key financial and growth goals.
Education and Experience:
BA or BS in Business or Human Resources; MBA or MS in Organizational Development or Psychology
15+ years experience in the Human Resources field that includes experience in California, global HR management, and managing a team of HR professionals.
