Validation Engineer Cambric
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Job Description / Responsibilities:
This engineer will be responsible for DFMEA & validation planning activities connected to NPI, CPI, and cost reduction projects for the Lafayette and Mossville Electrical Teams. This is a support role to the component engineers as they develop new designs. This position will coordinate and follow up with the engine and package validation teams and other process partners. They will interact with quality & validation tools to ensure scorecards & metrics accurately reflect our teams effort. They will also be responsible for presentations to report on these activities. The requirements of this position are: 1. DFMEA Facilitation. 2. Track NPI quality metrics 3. Track and report on section CPI activities. 4. Track and investigate "uncovered failures". 5. Document, communicate and execute test activities. 6. Create and present information in Proactive Quality Meetings.
Technical background specializing in diesel engines. Also, background in engine or vehicle electrical systems or hardware.
Demonstrated experience in product design, development and validation.
Previous FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) experience.
Prior experience in directing work to outside suppliers, and coordinate project work.
Previous experience in electrical/harness design.
Understanding of analysis approaches (FEA, bolted joint, CFD, modal/vibration).
Knowledge of APQP and supplier collaboration, & material cost reduction project experience;
Pro-E desired but not required
Minimum Education: BSME, BSMET, BSEE, BSEET
Required Software: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Min Years Industry Experience: 3 Years
