DescriptionPLA is seeking a Desktop Virtualization Architect at our Chicago HQ (downtown) to help us to grow our Managed Solutions Group. This technical position will be responsible for Citrix assessments, Virtualization Assessments, design and upgrades, and ongoing health and maintenance of Citrix & Virtualized networks.
This individual will lead client engagements, develop and maintain Reference Architectures, provide subject matter expertise in delivering solutions, and provides technical expertise and solutions support throughout the sales process.
Qualifications:
VDI / VMware View / ThinApp / XenDesktop / XenApp / Windows OS / VMware vSphere / Citrix XenServer / App-V / Hyper-V / User Persona Management
Skills Required:
Implementation, Administration and troubleshooting experience in Citrix systems including Presentation Server 4.5 or higher and associated Access Suite products
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy on Windows 2003/2008/2008 R2 Server
Application integration experience including scripting, registry, application packaging, and other related application integration and troubleshooting skills
Citrix XenDesktop 5.x
VMware View 5.x
Citrix Provisioning Server 6.x
Citrix XenApp 6.x
Netscaler, Access Gateway and Branch Repeater design experience. Build experience a plus
Citrix Edgesight 5.x
VMware vSphere/XenServer/Hyper-V experience a requirement
Hands on experience with virtualization and desktop virtualization products including App-V, ThinApp, Citrix Streaming, SVS, Provisioning Server, Appsense, RTO, Tricerat, Liquidware Labs
Expertise with Windows OS (XP,7,Server 2003,Server 2008, Server 2012) and Active Directory
Experience packaging and deploying applications in a XenApp, terminal server or VDI environment
Knowledge of Datacenter infrastructure including DNS, PXE, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, MS Exchange, AntiVirus, Security
Certifications:
Current Citrix CCA certification minimum (XenApp/XenDesktop), CCAA/CCEA preferable
VMware VCP 4+ preferred
VMware Infrastructure Competency preferred
VMware Business Continuity Competency preferred
MCITP ? Virtualization Administration preferred
Microsoft certifications a plus
