The Finished Vehicle Logistics Manager is responsible for executing Tesla's outbound supply chain. Tesla's Fremont factory produces the Model S for worldwide distribution. This leader fully owns outbound logistics execution in North America, and is responsible for managing export transportation to Europe and Asia. As such, he or she manages over the road, rail and sea shipping lanes and must drive optimal results with respect to cost, quality and delivery speed and predictability. In addition to new finished vehicle distribution, the finished vehicle logistics team support Tesla Fleet (i.e., marketing, service, etc) logistics throughout North America.
Job scope includes: metric development and report presentation to all levels of management and internal customers; forecasting and vendor SLA performance; project planning; identifying and implementing process improvement/cost reduction opportunities. This leader will need to work across multiple groups to drive and deliver best in class logistics service, cost and quality. This leader evaluates, recommends, develops, and implements Logistics strategy to achieve these goals.

10+ years' experience in supply chain related functions, operations management (logistics required), preferably within an automotive manufacturer or supplier.
