Position: Vendor Manager - Seattle/Austin
The Vendor Manager role in the MegaPath Vendor Management team is responsible for management of access vendors with proven ability to negotiate complex business terms, develop and manage relationships, drive results and demonstrate competency with business and financial analytics. The Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with some of the company?s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal cross-functional teams.
Recruit and manage vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, negotiate recurring and non-recurring costs, and drive business process automation.
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
Have a thorough understanding of the business landscape, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor changes in the marketplace
Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features and pricing strategies
Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines
Project manage the rollout of new access vendors across teams, including systems, tools, training and reporting as required
Negotiate other vendors as required (non-access services)
BA/BS required; MBA preferred
3- 5+ years in buying, account management, product management, project management, telecommunications, financial analysis and/or marketing
2+ years in negotiation or influencing experience
Strong analytical acumen and be comfortable framing analyses and generating insights from business metrics
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing and speaking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Word and Power Point
Track record of taking ownership and driving results
Ability to think both strategically and tactically to solve problems with good attention to detail
Proven track record of process improvement
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
Decisive and able to move with speed to implement their own ideas
