MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates all on the ground Veterans recruitment efforts on behalf of FPMI and its customers.
Utilizes an online applicant tracking software to track applicants through FPMI's hiring process while guiding them through various application processes and procedures.
Coordinates recruitment and the placement of service disabled veterans in a variety of security related; operational, administrative, and supervisory/management positions.
Analyzes the local/regional demographic information along with local knowledge to determine all appropriate sourcing and advertising strategies needed to source talent.
Creates and maintains all requisition files.
Coordinates candidate interview processes.
Conducts all interviewing and pre-employment assessment activities.
Prepares offer letters and collects and validates all pre-hire documentation and provide hiring recommendations based on developed evaluation criteria.
Collects and validates all the necessary supporting documentation and appropriate government issued paperwork to facilitate the hiring/onboarding process.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and at least five years of directly related experience.
Must be able to successfully pass background investigation to include criminal and credit check.
Must be familiar with all military service documentation allowing for the verification of service and type of separation (type of discharge).
Must have a working knowledge of employer responsibilities under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2008 to include all ADAAA rules and regulations and any other applicable federal regulations. This includes knowledge of disability designations made due to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Must have a working knowledge of and understanding of military culture and experience with an ability to develop military cultural competencies to translate military skills to private industry corporate job descriptions.
Must have a working knowledge of recruitment organizations, advertising materials, and organizations available to assist in the sourcing and recruitment of service disabled veterans.
Must have the skills and experience to crosswalk military skills with that of the civilian job requirements.
Must have a working knowledge of interviewing best practices as it relates to veterans or service disabled veterans to ensure no discriminatory practices are perceived or implied and that all interviews are conducted in accordance with USERRA and ADA guidelines.
Must have knowledge of staffing/placement procedures in accordance with the Department of Labor.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Relocation assistance is not provided.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include (Word, PPT, Excel, Project).
Working Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (Taleo preferred).
Strong prioritization, Organization, decision-making and follow through skills Ability to think critically to anticipate and prevent problems from occurring.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills needed to interface directly with clients as well as external candidates.
Flexible, detail-oriented Team player able to handle multiple tasks and change directions quickly.
