General Description:The General Manager is responsible for sales and operations of a local data center business. Responsibilities include sales strategy, forecasting, people management, local marketing, operations, customer satisfaction and financial management (accountable for P&L). It includes developing a go-to-market strategy and executing that strategy. Must have strong I/T sales, marketing and management experience. Teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit are keys to success.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Management
o People management and leadership through motivation
o Profit & Loss / Budget responsibility for the local data center
o Identification of product requirements and solutions
o Monthly review of financial statements with executive team
o Management of local partners including recruitment, training, solution delivery
Sales Managemento Execution of local go-to-market strategy
o Lead and assist in sales process and closure
o Solution selling implementation and execution
o Sales Pipeline management
o Meet/exceed sales objectives
o Provide local visibility/marketing initiatives
Operations Management
o Responsible for customer implementation
o Capital budget management for success based requirements (cabinets, cages)
o Responsible for customer satisfaction
o Evaluation of central operations customer service/support monthly
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
At least 3 years of management experience
o Complex I/T sales experience
Consultative or solutions selling experience
Ability to call on C-Level executives
Customer support experience
Strategic thinker, tactical execution
Excellent writing skills
Ability to partner and influence
Small company experience (entrepreneurial)
Strong contact base
Proven track record
People management and leadership
