The VP of Business Development will report to the GM/ SVP of Premium Services. He/she will influence the strategic direction of the company by building new partnerships, and is responsible for developing the next evolution of our subscription business. Our mission is to be the No. 1 consumer destination in digital media for on-demand, subscription-based diet and fitness programs.
As the VP of Business Development, you are an individual who can bring excellent partner/business development experience to assist EH in structuring and negotiating significant and complex relationships. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success leading new business initiatives in the online domain as well as managing an ongoing dialogue with existing strategic partners to maximize financial potential for both firms. The successful candidate must be an effective negotiator, communicator, extremely partner-focused, proactive, and work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Identify, structure, and negotiate revenue generating relationships with strategic partners to meet aggressive growth targets.
Collaborate with the SVP/GM, Premium Services on the future business strategy and direction for key accounts/markets/businesses.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to capture additional market share in the subscription-based diet and fitness segment
Establish strong relationships in the industry with necessary partners to contribute to significant revenue growth.
Coordinate and manage the activity of other individuals in the EH organization that are contributing to the execution of newly defined strategies
Create winning proposals for our business clients
Qualifications:
MBA is strongly preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit ? self-motivated, knowledgeable, and passionate for success
Superior ?deal making skills and has a track record closing deals
Deep understanding of online media and building of strategic alliances at a senior level.
10+ years of progressive business development experience focusing on strategic alliances and/or product management/development.
Ability to develop relationships with key influencers in partner organizations.
Experience developing business cases and financial models to support negotiation and decision making.
Significant experience of coordinating the needs of multiple stakeholders to steer contract discussions to the right outcome for the company
Strategic mindset. Ability to perform comprehensive market analysis and product positioning review and leveraging existing partnerships
Deep understanding of the economics and key business drivers in the New Media space (search, online advertising, consumer internet services, and mobile services).
Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving team environment.
Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
In-depth knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel Required
