LogRhythm is seeking a Vice President, Accounting & Finance who will provide leadership and guidance to the accounting and finance staff to insure all financial reporting conforms to GAAP and is operationally relevant to the business which includes detailed work in complex areas. The VP of Accounting & Finance will partner with the CFO and support the Senior Executive Team in managing a high growth technology company that has expanded into a global organization. They will provide hands-on administration of the accounting function, ensure strong financial controls and compliance and manage the outside accounting firms that provide accounting services to our international operations located around the world. This is a hands-on role that requires a senior level professional who is comfortable operating in the day-to-day details. Extensive experience with software revenue recognition, international finance and accounting operations is necessary. Our ideal candidate will be the domain expert in all matters of accounting, possess very strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build executive trust and confidence through their interactions.
Lead, manage, mentor and train a team of direct and indirect reports.
Direct and coordinate accounting operations including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, Collections, Budgeting, Tax Compliance, Banking, and Cash Management
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close procedures and support the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of internal financial reporting to management and the Board of Directors.
Go-to expert on revenue recognition matters
Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and integrity of accounting records and resulting financial statements; work closely with outside auditors to establish a partnership that ensures LogRhythm is fully compliant with all requirements
Lead, participate and/or coordinate cross-functional activities as a strategic business partner
Ensure efficient accounting procedures and operations worldwide
Ensure appropriate controls and financial procedures are documented and in place across the company, and that financial functions are performed in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines
Actively participate as a member of LogRhythm?s international working group, including assisting with international entity set-up and ongoing operations
Coordinate with other groups in company-wide planning, development, and operational processes, serving as a bridge between customer-centric and technology-centric members of the organization
Assist in the creation and ongoing support of budgets, forecasts, key performance indicators and other analyses
Manage the tax team with domestic and international compliance, including direct and indirect taxes
Build strong working relationships with internal and external teams including sales, marketing, legal, operations and finance, and external service providers including accounting, banking, legal, recruiting and tax professionals
Spearhead proactive identification, analysis, communication and resolution of key operational issues, and analyze, maintain and revise existing practices and processes to drive operational efficiencies
Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as special projects as needed
Domain. Extensive knowledge and experience with technical US GAAP, SEC policies, 404 Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and compliance, intercompany accounting and consolidation, and internal control development and documentation.
Software Revenue Recognition. Demonstrated deep software revenue recognition expertise is required
Experienced. 12+ years of progressive high tech industry experience in accounting, experience in a Big 4 accounting firm at the Manager level or above, and a track record of success in innovation and achieving objectives
Educated. You have a Bachelor?s degree in business, preferably accounting, and are a licensed CPA
Environment. Direct operations experience in small to medium sized corporate environment very advantageous.
Leader. You have 8+ years supervisory experience including hiring, mentoring and performance management with experience leading cross-functional teams in remote locations
Technically Savvy. You have the ability and desire to learn new programs quickly. You have experience implementing, upgrading and/or modifying technical platforms and are able to navigate, trouble-shoot, and problem solve both independently, as well as working effectively with IT/systems teams.
Accountability. You are known to make strategic decisions that will directly impact many areas of the company. You are known to follow-up on outstanding questions and open issues in a timely and reliable manner.
Detail oriented and highly organized. You thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and can multi-task and keep on top of priorities while accomplishing the details of your work.
