Vice President Finance, Chief Accounting Officer Acquia

We are seeking a Vice President Finance and Chief Accounting Officer to serve as the source of accounting and reporting expertise for the company and assure the overall integrity and efficiency of corporate accounting functions. This is an opportunity for you to play a critical role in the company by leading Acquia through its IPO preparation.
What Will You Do?
The VP Finance must ensure that all accounting and reporting is accurate and in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules, and that appropriate financial controls are in place and in compliance with government regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
Major responsibilities for this role include:
Lead the financial, tax, internal and external reporting, SEC compliance, SOX compliance and treasury functions of the Company
Create efficient processes that enable the company to close its books, complete its audit, and produce SEC-compliant financial results on a timely basis
Partner with the CFO to build confidence with the company?s audit committee
Manage internal financial and business reporting to provide management with timely and useful information to facilitate business decisions and to drive business performance
Oversee external financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial information is available for external stakeholders
Create high performing, customer-oriented and cost conscious groups within finance
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations, as well as sound strategic tax planning
Manage the international financial strategy to support global expansion, including payroll, accounting, intercompany transfers, tax and statutory compliance.
Streamline processes to reduce costs, reduce cycle time, and improve quality of financial information produced
Act as key advisor to the CFO and other executives in the company
Partner with the head of sales and sales operations to improve the efficiency of the company?s contracting processes
Act as strong leader and key executive in the company; provide positive and effective leadership within finance
What Will You Bring To The Team?
At least 15 years of experience in various accounting and financial roles, including public accounting, and a CPA
Proven leadership and people management experience and skills
Strong technical accounting expertise, in particular with revenue recognition for technology software and services
Experience working in a publicly listed company, including direct experience preparing financial statements filed with the SEC
Proven ability to implement financial and business reporting systems and to use those systems to effectively provide business intelligence through the organization
The ability to build relationships across the organization at all levels
Expertise in managing the infrastructure for a global organization
