Vice President for Legal Affairs (General Counsel) The Frankfurt Group & Holdings
Fort Worth, Texas-based film distribution, financing, acquisition, production and distribution company is looking for an individual who is somewhat familiar with the film industry to lead all legal affairs.
help us ensure compliance with domestic and international law
develop and implement policies and guidelines for our services
provide advice to development and marketing teams
monitor, summarize relevant legislation and ability to provide recommendations/proposals affecting legislation
analytical ability to reason and make informed decisions
knowledge of the legislative process.
draft contracts, corporate documents
substantial experience in contract negotiation preferred
some degree of experience (or familiarity) in the film industry preferred, particularly in financing/distribution/producing
a general understanding of entertainment law preferred
must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
must be a self starter and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
solid written and oral communication skills
must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential
ability to read, write and communicate in English
proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint
juris doctorate strongly preferred, though not required (will consider current law students)
equity and commission (though the position does bring the possibility to transition into a paid part-time/full-time).
