We are seeking an experienced senior Human Resources professional to build upon and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes accountability, empowerment, quality, productivity, and goal attainment by a global workforce. Responsibilities
The Vice President of Human Resources guides and manages the Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company, including for offices in the US, Israel, China, UK, and South Africa. Qualified candidates will include energetic, forward-thinking and creative individuals with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional demeanor. We seek a strategic business partner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and a strong operational focus. To be successful, candidates must be well organized, self-directed, and a team player. S/he must be an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. We require a business leader who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. It is critical that the VPHR be an excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute. The role requires a decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the senior management team, the VPHR will advise company executives, manager, and the Board on strategy, especially those which impact Human Resources.
With the support of the HR team (4 in the US, 5 in Israel), the major areas directed are:
organizational design, development and effectiveness;
workforce planning and analysis;
compensation, benefits, equity, and total rewards;
performance management and improvement;
employment and compliance programs on global level;
employee integration, development, and training;
policy development, documentation, and implementation;
employee relations;
recruiting and staffing;
HRIS (experienced with Workday, WebTime, Nemala, Oracle, Taleo, etc.);
multinational payroll;
immigration;
employee safety, welfare, wellness and health;
HR administration and operations; and
HR budgeting and planning.
Employment Standards
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree required; MBA preferred. Appropriate experience may be substituted.
Experience: Ten to fifteen years in Human Resources leadership involving global operations and workforces, preferably involving construction and/or project development.
Required Skills: Self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with personnel at all levels in the organization. Polished presentation and interpersonal skills. Must possess top-level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, and leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Special Skills: Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate people to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects across time zones. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex business and/or human resource related documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Experienced at making effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company, and to the Board and outside organizations.
