(CHL) is a premier next-generation clinical reference laboratory committed to advancing cardiovascular risk assessment through unique and proprietary diagnostic tests. We focus on novel inflammatory and cardiovascular biomarker technologies that allow for advanced risk assessment.
We are seeking a Vice President, Medical Affairs to develop, implement and lead medical affairs and payer relations for this clinical reference lab that specializes in novel biomarker technologies for cardiovascular and other chronic diseases, including education, research/outcome studies, and payer contracts/strategies as member of the senior leadership team.
The essential responsibilities include:
Senior leadership role in the area of publications and opinion leader development for cardiovascular and other chronic disease management.
Develop, maintain and leverage relationships with select researchers and thought leaders in support of brand and company strategies.
Lead the payer relations/managed care strategies and initiatives, including intelligence on payers, process to manage denials and action plan to improve reimbursement.
Identify opportunities for in-network contracts and lead CHL team in the process of introductions, negotiations, and contracting. Support implementation of in-network contracts, developing processes and systems modification.
Implement research and outcome studies at various clinical and academic institutions.
Provide leadership during review of new technologies, partner with R&D Leader during the development phase and support market launch of new products and test.
Collaborate with Sales and Company Leaders on engagement and retention strategies for key customers with education and training for sales team & key customers.
Participate in design and implementation of processes, systems, and staffing to support the medical educational and payment programs for company clients and patients.
Develop the team manage budgets to support the company?s goals and strategies, including scientific resources, speaker programs and educational events.
Insure compliance in all business relationships and transactions.
Job qualifications include:
Advanced Degree required in Sciences or Medical.
Knowledge of cardiovascular and chronic disease testing and medical outcomes.
Broad laboratory industry knowledge.
10 Year + experience leading the medical affairs with a high growth, specialized clinical laboratory/diagnostics company.
Experience with payer relations and medical reimbursement.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Command of Microsoft suite; experience with LIS and
Drive and hands-on approach, required in a fast growing, entrepreneurial company
Demonstrated ability to achieve results.
Preferred: experience in international markets.
Work location ? Preferred: Cleveland, Ohio; other locations will be considered.
