About this Position
Bazaarvoice is looking for a seasoned Business Development executive to lead the continued growth and development of our industry partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have significant Internet industry experience and demonstrable knowledge of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic strengths/weaknesses of key companies. Success in this role will require the ability to maximize the business impact of multiple referral and marketing-oriented partnerships in the short term, while also showing steady and measurable progress in the development of complex and highly strategic partnerships over the long term. We seek a proven cross-functional leader that can identify and execute on opportunities to leverage our partner ecosystem for the benefit of our entire business. This exciting and dynamic role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer but interacts on a daily basis with other executives and functional leaders across the company.
Skills Required:
- 10+ years of experience in Internet, software, or a related high-tech industry.
- Previous executive-level leadership and management responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting and public speaking.
- High energy, positive, self-starter attitude and desire to seek and tackle new challenges at every opportunity.
- Highly organized, attention to detail, and focus on work quality.
- Financial and legal acumen, with strong negotiating abilities.
- Track record of attracting, recruiting, retaining, and mentoring world-class talent.
- Successfully manage a team to achieve dynamic but measurable performance goals. Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance measurement.
- General teamwork skills are essential, as well as the interest in contributing to a strong, cohesive corporate culture and community.
- Understands the challenges, demands and priorities of a company experiencing rapid growth. Has operated successfully in entrepreneurial, rapid growth environments in the past. Has a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic.
