Under the general direction of the COO, responsible for selling iJET Travel Intelligence products and services within assigned channels. Employs selling techniques and negotiating strategies to achieve sales goals. Responsible for effective management of sales resources to maximize revenues and control cost of sale. Develops a sales plan including specific revenue targets and prospects within assigned channels, assists in the development of sales tools and processes to support the achievement of sales and distribution objectives. Directs the development of marketing opportunities focused within assigned channels. Responsible for identification and pursuit of sales opportunities within assigned channels and assisting others in achieving overall company revenue objectives. Assists in the development, analysis and negotiation of incentive programs to garner incremental revenue and market share. Negotiates contracts with prospective clients with final approval reserved for Executive Management. Assists in the development of pricing schemes and product/service development. Interprets account revenue and share reports to determine problems and opportunities for improvements. Maintains currency in industry activities, company strategies and technological/product development.
Perform sales calls on prospective clients.
Where staffing is approved by Executive Committee; Hires, trains and manages sales personnel.
Negotiate contracts with prospective clients for final approval by Executive Committee.
Identifies sales and marketing opportunities within assigned channels.
Assist in the development of sales tools and processes.
Assist in pricing strategy & policy development.
Assist in new service or service package development.
Report on sales activities and developments.
Participate in strategy development as an executive in Business Development Department.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
10 years? experience in a related field required.
Knowledge of Travel Risk Management / Operational Risk Management is highly desired.
Proven ability to lead a team of sales personnel.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent sales and presentation skills.
Effective time management.
Effective problem solving skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work with little supervision.
Strong contract negotiation and relationship building skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Knowledge of sales tracking techniques and software.
Significant travel required (approximately 50%).
