The Qvidian sales effectiveness platform?Sales Playbooks & Analytics, Proposal Automation, and Content Library?has increased win-rates and improved productivity for some of the world?s largest and most successful corporations. The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for the following tasks:

The VP of Engineering interacts directly with members of the overall Qvidian team to successfully deliver high-quality releases of its web-based sales effectiveness software. In addition to the day-to-day management of the Engineering team, this individual will provide technological leadership with regard to Qvidian?s sales effectiveness platform, and ensure that the Engineering team consistently delivers on-time, quality products.
Primary Duties:

Develop strategic plans for the overall product architecture and use of technologies to support the product requirements. Qvidian currently utilizes Microsoft technologies for its solution: VB.NET, MS SQL, MS Server technologies, etc.
Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements, per the product management requirements documentation.
Ensure that the product functional and technical design specifications are fully and correctly defined and documented.
Hire and direct the internal and external Engineering staff to acquire the necessary resources to properly estimate and meet the product schedules.
Effectively manage multiple Engineering teams (onshore and offshore) to meet development requirements within project budgets.
Ensure the implementation of formal processes to support the software product development process.
Ensure open, productive communication within the Engineering team and between the Engineering team and the other groups within Qvidian.

Requirements:

At least 10 years of engineering management experience and 5 years of SaaS software application development experience
Strong operational and project management experience
Proven team building and leadership skills
Successful customer interaction
Solid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, as well as an understanding of the sales, marketing and financial impact of product design and development
Experience managing multiple development projects with multiple delivery dates simultaneously
Experience with mobile technologies, the .NET application development environment, and the development of SaaS applications would be a plus
Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent
Residence in the Greater Cincinnati or Lowell, MA areas
Minimal travel
