Job Description
We provide systems and application management software for Windows and Linux Servers. Our products are used by over 7,000 companies worldwide from small businesses to Fortune 1000 enterprises, and some of the world's largest datacenters and cloud infrastructure providers. Our Idera products focus on the management needs of Windows server admins and our R1Soft products focus on the continuous data protection needs of Linux and Windows server admins in hosted, cloud and enterprise environments.
The Vice President of Marketing reports directly to the CEO and designs, executes and manages marketing strategies to drive the achievement of Company sales, growth and revenue objectives.
Primary Duties:
Working closely with the Vice Presidents of Sales, Products and other Senior Executives, The Vice President of Marketing builds brand recognition and creates demand for the Company and its products. In collaboration with internal and external resources (contractors/agencies), the Vice President of Marketing develops, executes and manages marketing strategies and tactical plans that include:
Creation and management of Company web site content, e-mail campaigns, advanced lead nurturing programs, branding, messaging, corporate communications and white papers, collateral, print and online advertising and social media.
Design and coordination of lead generation programs (heavy emphasis).
Deployment of competitive positioning and differentiation strategies built upon industry landscape and competitive intelligence analyses.
Reduce broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans on a quarterly/annual basis, and collaborate with the senior management team on the development of business plans related to sales and revenue and product launches.
Collaborate with product managers and product marketing managers on the implementation of product launches, both internally and externally, by providing content, messaging, and sales tools necessary to introduce a new product to the market and the organization.
Define metrics to measure and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing and lead generation programs. Analyze and report on these criteria on a regular basis with the senior management team.
Recommend and manage the annual marketing programs budget.
Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales and Vice Presidents of Products to develop and execute an event marketing plan that includes industry conferences, trade shows, user conferences and community events
Collaborate with Company vendor partners in the development of co-promotional opportunities and collateral.
Required Experience
5+ years in senior marketing management for a software company, with executive level experience preferred.
Direct marketing experience in the systems, network, or infrastructure management software sectors is strongly preferred.
Experience in marketing using a high volume demand generation approach with a ?click/try/buy? model to support an inside telesales force.
Outstanding work ethic with a proven track-record of performance excellence in meeting targets and objectives.
Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
Demonstrated mastery of marketing automation tools (Eloqua) and of CRM systems (Salesforce.com).
Superior communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Must enjoy a fast-paced environment, with a track-record of proven sales success in a dynamic, rapidly growing Company.
Must demonstrate extraordinary time-management skills and organizational capabilities.
