As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for the overall positioning, messaging and vision for Belkin products with the charter of building stronger global brand equity through innovative and creative brand marketing strategies that results in being market share leader. Accountable for planning, staffing and managing all marketing functions to achieve Belkin?s sales, profitability and brand consistency objectives. Provide effective leadership through strong motivation, empowerment and direction that fosters a challenging, yet results-oriented, rewarding environment.
How you?ll do it
Drive the marketing organization to partner and align with the Belkin?s corporate objectives and create marketing strategies that achieve this vision
Partner with cross-functional teams such as product management, sales, IDG and R&D to enable marketing to be integrated into Belkin?s overall business strategies through thought leadership that drives market share Develop annual plans and budgets for all aspects of marketing
Ensure all marketing communication vehicles including, but not limited to, launch kits, pricing, advertising, merchandising tools, catalogs, sell-in presentations, etc. are best-in-class to enable Belkin to meet its targeted revenue, profit and brand equity goals
Work with regional offices to ensure all marketing communications are consistent from region to region and fit under the global corporate positioning/messaging umbrella
Unparalleled focus and commitment to establish Belkin as a consumer brand through strong on line and digital programs
Partner with consumer insights team to identify and validate consumer needs that can be translated into strong marketing messages that having a compelling value proposition and deliver an ecstatic user experience
Work closely with other key influential departments to leverage and optimize our impressions and create a relationship that delivers repeat and loyal customers
Leverage and enhance the product offering by identifying potential creative partnerships to further differentiate Belkin from the competition
Maintain, update and improve upon existing online properties; which may include micro sites, landing pages, emails, banner ads, web pages and websites
Build, inspire, mentor and lead an industry-leading, world class team
Be a thought-partner with members of executive management
What you?ll need
10 years marketing experience with at least 5 years in consumer products
Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred
Strong analytical, planning, budgeting and finance skills
What you?ve done
P&L responsibilities for the marketing operating budget; experience with annual plans and budgets for all aspects of marketing
Possess a solid understanding of competitive and market dynamics that drive pricing, feature prioritization, product level messaging and positioning
Leadership experience, directing creative test strategies to optimize results and support media efforts
Proven experience with creating and driving successful social media campaigns promoting consumer products or services (consumer electronics experience preferred)
