Argus is seeking a VP of New Product Development & Partnerships to execute major strategy initiatives and be responsible for all deliverables from the development of the initial strategy through the analysis of potential market opportunities related to new product introductions and new partnership opportunities. The VP will be responsible for spearheading the consistent review of research, trends, competitive analysis, and market opportunities for Argus, as well as establish timelines, progress reports, and action plans for all projects. Responsibilities include:
Executing large strategic projects that address complex strategic issues and new business opportunities
Identifying and executing strategic partnerships and alliances
Overseeing large projects to ensure appropriate focus, strategic alignment and scope
Conducting market/competitive analysis of existing and emerging industry trends, competitive opportunities, and partnership growth opportunities
Determining expansion opportunities by considering new partnerships and growth strategies
Managing the end-to-end partnership process; facilitate successful partnership discussions and outcomes
Oversee and lead product/project executions, manage internal and partner resources to deliver against deadlines, track progress and manage end-client deliverables
Develop and track budget for partnerships.
Qualifications include:
BA degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred; 6+ years of strategy experience, some of which must have included developing and implementing competitive and growth strategies and formulating effective external partnerships
Demonstrated experience leading and implementing business strategy projects that have produced quantifiable results
Financial services industry experience, preferably within the payment industry or retail banking; search firm experience a plus
Possess high degree of professional maturity, and executive level presence
Creative, flexible, solutions-oriented, stellar team-player
Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
Articulate speaker and good listener
Strong influence/negotiation skills and relationship management skills
Stellar project delivery-orientation with proven ability to deliver projects on time, with strong organizational, time and task management skills
Exceptional problem solving skills with analytical competency including demonstrated experience with market analytics, operations planning or financial modeling; Experienced in project management of strategy initiatives
Possess a strong desire to address complex challenges. Adept at understanding organization roles and inter-relationships
Demonstrated ability to grasp a large, complex business and use this understanding to set overall corporate or business strategy and drive business insights and positive business changes
Deep working knowledge of strategy analysis and frameworks
MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
