Vice President of Operations Optovue
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED his position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
As a senior leadership team member, this position is responsible for establishing operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality standards, safety, on-time production delivery, supply chain, and shipping and receiving. Duties also include capacity planning, production scheduling, customer-service and facilities management.
Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing, supply chain and customer service policies and practices throughout organization.
Recommends and implements strategic changes in manufacturing, supply chain and customer service operations.
Builds, develops and manages operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and maintaining positive employee relations.
Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate prompt improvements of production, supply chain and customer service issues.
Establishes planning cycle and provide leadership through cycle completion.
Oversees operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure and inventory requirements.
Ensure manufacturing efficiency by labor cost, overtime, quality, yield, scrap and through put analysis.
Ensures compliance with FDA, TUV and other regulatory agencies and with state and federal regulations.
Establishes relevant metrics for key manufacturing, quality, supply chain and customer service indicators, for purposes of business monitoring and decision making.
Senior level Production, supply chain and customer service management in a regulated medical device environment preferred.
Masters Degree in Engineering or Industrial technology preferred.
Minimum 5 years at management of Operations at VP level.
Minimum 15 years experience in production of medical instruments or other type of complex instruments which includes mechanics, optics, electronics and computer systems.
Excellent administration skills, strong business knowledge of manufacturing operations, product development, finance, supply chain, regulatory compliance, quality control and GMPs.
Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills.
Familiar with MRP functions and able to establish production plan into MRP.
Knowledge of GMP, Lean manufacturing, and project management skills.
Ability to resolve production issues with operations and engineering teams.
Ability to access manpower needs and develop capacity plans.
Work with manufacturing engineers to implement the transition of new product development to production, ensuring proper training and build knowledge.
Review and analyze equipment, tooling and production floor layouts for current and future needs.
