The VP of Product is an integral part of the executive staff, reporting directly to the CEO. The position requires frequent interaction with the rest of the executive team on business, strategic, and financial issues along with management of a global team of product management and user experience experts.
Responsibilities:
? Drive product strategy for the company.
? Understand our market along with key competitors? product offerings, identify opportunities to differentiate our services; delight our consumers and merchant customers.
? Craft forward-thinking product roadmaps for each key product group and geographic area
? Translate consumer and business needs into MRD/PRDs, work with engineering to implement these ideas, and ultimately launch successful products.
? Effectively manage current product team to maximize results and deliver in a timely manner.
? Develop a working understanding of the important aspects of Become, Inc.?s web search and product search technologies, to facilitate optimal communication and decisions.
? Collaborate with other Become teams to create profitable ideas and successful new Become products to extend our brand into mobile and social environments.
? Define key metrics, track and analyze product performance, and assess customer feedback.
? Aggressively identify optimization opportunities and new product features to maintain a leadership position for Become?s product search and comparison shopping experience.
What you offer.
? A seasoned leader with a broad business perspective and outstanding communication and managerial skills.
? 10 years of product management experience in a web-based environment, preferably with experience in mobile and social features.
? Strong strategic analysis skills and business acumen, Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities to all levels of the organization.
? Strong academic record from a reputable undergraduate or graduate school.
? BA/BS in CS, Engineering or other relevant discipline preferred.
? Track record of successfully developing, launching, and marketing online products in a highly cross-functional environment.
? Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with experience creating clear cost/benefit cases for new products and features.
? Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint along with understanding of financial terms and models.
? Positive attitude, confident demeanor, and willingness to both ?think big? and manage the details.
? MBA is helpful but not required.
