We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of VP of Sales. This position can be virtual office unless located in Atlanta or Phoenix. If you are located outside of those areas, this position can be held anywhere in the continental United States near a major airport.
PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The VP of Sales position reports to the EVP of Growth. The VP of Sales will drive new sales for Payment Policy Management and Inpatient lines of business. The ideal candidate will have experience selling services based solutions in the healthcare industry. The candidate will possess critical thinking skills and knowledge base for complex strategic sales in the payer market.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
Achieves annual sales goals to gain new business
Assists in the development and creation of company sales targets and forecasts
Establishes and maintains relationships in the payer space
Develops prospects through networking and strategic relationships
Conducts presentations to the appropriate decision makers demonstrating the benefits and emphasizing the value of iHT?s solutions based on analyses of needs.
Achieves credibility and trust based on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
Manages prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationships), and development (understanding needs), to close
Participates in negotiations and develops personal relationships with key clients

REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrates an in-depth and wide breadth of knowledge in the payer sector
Knowledge of health payment systems and decision making processes
Has a demonstrated track-record over at least the last four years of exceeding assigned goals
Hands-on consultative, complex selling, and negotiations experience
Self-motivated and disciplined
Sharp problem-solving and cognitive thinking skills
Organizational, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree; Master?s preferred
Healthcare experience
5 -7 years of relevant sales experience with established relationships in place
JOB DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance
Work from home office (if located in Phoenix or Atlanta, then office position)
Travel more than 50% of the time throughout the United States
KEY CONSTITUENTS:
This position has no direct reports.
Medical Director, EVP of Sales, COO, CEO, CMO, Client Services Vice Presidents, Implementation & Claims Analysis staff
This is a full time, permanent position and cannot support Visa sponsorship.
