Overview:
Everyday Health is seeking a head of sales for its $10 Million+ doctor solutions business. This business is currently growing at close to 100% a year and will be receiving significant investment to continue this growth trajectory. The VP of Local Sales will report to the SVP & General Manager, Local. He or she will be responsible for managing a 20 person+ sales and account management with over 1,000 physician and dentist clients. The executive would be highly involved in Merger & Acquisition due diligence as well as large partnership opportunities. Experience in the online media space is critical. Specific experience in local sales, inside sales and medical/health sales is extremely helpful.
Responsibilities:
Building improved processes, systems and infrastructure to grow to quickly grow to a $50 Million organization
Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and inspire a less experienced sales and account management team
Serving as the right-hand person to the General Manager of the group to build a differentiated and sustainable sales strategy
Creating both custom programs and turn-key solutions that accomplish brand objectives, entertain and engage users while reaching a passionate target audience in a contextually relevant environment
Improving upon team training and effective sales processes for client meetings
Exceeding sales targets
Qualifications:
Aggressive, entrepreneurial and hands-on sales executive. There will be no direct selling responsibility, but ability to take a very hands-on approach with team is critical
Deep experience in online media with familiarity with SEO, SEM, Reputation Management, Website Development
Ability to attract and retain a local sales team - and understand how the differences between ?local sellers? and ?national brand sellers?
Experience in running both outside regional sales teams as well as inside sales team
Tradeshow selling and marketing experience
Understanding of local directories and medical/health market
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and the ability to influence others through well articulated and innovative ideas
Strong leader who can motivate his or her team through great personal passion and charisma.
