The Vice President of Sales Operations (VPoSO) manages all Sales Operations activities supporting MegaPath Commercial Sales and correlated attainment of its financial and business objectives. Overall management responsibility includes Channel Operations, Sales Support, Project Management (of key business projects), Order Fulfillment (Quote/Order Desk activities), Sales Analytics, Sales Compensation, Sales Process, Sales Pricing and Proposal Management. Managing systems development and use of required tools necessary to meet and guarantee Commercial Sales success are also the responsibility of the MegaPath VPoSO.
Key accountabilities include:
Create, implement and maintain a Sales Operations program ensuring efficient and timely processing of all sales order requests and insures accuracy of all orders submitted for provisioning
Staff management and employee development
Ownership of sales system development and/or enhancements (i.e. MPQT, Partner Portal, NAMS, NAMSlite)
Identify, develop and implement consistent policies/procedures and comp plans in support of strategic goals
Department metrics development and performance reviews
Creation and distribution of accurate sales results and analytics in support of analytical management of Commercial Sales
Ownership of Sales Compensation plan creation, implementation and administration
Ensure adherence to pricing structure (i.e. discounts) that are consistent with financial objectives of MegaPath
Drive cross-functional collaboration with departments supporting Sales to ensure focus on Commercial Sales objectives and projects
Candidate Profile:
Ideally, we seek a tested Sales Operations leader with a record of accomplishment supporting large, high-performance Sales Organizations in hypercompetitive technology sales environments. We want to see successful change management leadership and experience demonstrating support of geographically-dispersed sales organizations having multiple sales channels.
This candidate has a performance-driven, focused leadership attitude and has outstanding communication skills. This candidate is a proven, effective collaborator capable of building and managing strong working relationships across organizational boundaries.
Required Experience:
BA/BS degree
7-10 years of progressive experience emphasizing sales management or support, order-entry management and related tools/technology
Created, reported and managed highly detailed and accurate performance metrics at the Rep, Sales Manager, Director, VP and SVP levels utilizing Salesforce.com, SharePoint and other management resources
Partnered with Sales, Finance and HR to establish robust compensation plans, processes and tracking
Strategic planning skills associated with sales organizations
Budgeting and resource management
Strong organization development
In-depth telecommunications knowledge or equivalent
Conversant with telecommunications/network technologies as well as business analysis tools
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to work, prioritize, organize and make decisions efficiently and effectively under deadline
Strong financial/analytical skills and development/presentation of business plans
