Vice President of Sales WaterSmart
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED WaterSmart is a venture backed software company based in San Francisco, CA currently seeking a Vice President of Sales to build our sales team in North America. The ideal candidate will be a charismatic individual who can work with executive management to create and execute the right go-to-market strategy and help grow the Company. The VP Sales must have demonstrated success designing multi-disciplined sales organizations, recruiting top-notch sales talent, shaping them into a best-in-class team while consistently leading them to overachieving company sales goals. Past sales success to water utilities/city governments is a plus.
Direct responsibility for the Company's revenue
Go-to-market planning and execution
Engage key customers and participate in closing strategic opportunities
Create appropriate sales culture supportive of company mission
Design, build and manage the sales organization
Create appropriate infrastructure to support all sales operations
Develop accurate and timely pipeline and forecasting methodology
Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve targets
Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
Work closely with all other company functions supporting collaborative environment, alignment, and teamwork
Three years sales management experience in the software industry selling a SaaS, business-to-business solution.
A positive legacy as a sales manager/mentor/coach in the recruitment, retention, development and advancement of sales talent; a leader who can galvanize the team to achieve ambitious goals
Proven hands-on, evangelical sales performance history in a new product/new market environment
Understanding and appreciation for process driven culture
Attraction to an early-stage, VC backed company in growth mode
Flexibility to move from the field to the board room
Strong work ethic, with ability for significant travel
A four-year degree; relevant water industry discipline a plus; an advanced business degree is a distinct advantage
