Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota for more than three decades, merged with Insight Imaging in 2012 to create one of the nation?s largest radiology providers for fixed site and mobile diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems.
We are currently seeking a Vice President of Operations and Business Development who will support our Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and West Virginia Markets.
The primary responsibility of the Market Vice President - will be to manage the growth and operations of all centers in the four states with a primary focus on business development activities. This position is responsible for developing and attaining the market growth and retention goals as outlined in the annual strategic plan, working closely with radiologists, referring physicians, other providers, financial analysts, controllers, marketing analysts, external consultants, real estate representatives, attorneys and senior executives to accomplish the goals of the market?s growth strategy.
This position is also responsible for oversight of the operational aspects of running centers in the four markets, which includes planning, staff management, budget management, maintaining strategic relationships and on-going customer service functions. This position is responsible for meeting the quality, operational and profit goals (i.e., efficiency, productivity, costs) for the centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Champions the values and builds the culture to support the goals while fostering an environment where customer service is a priority
? Develops long-range goals for the four markets that align with the strategic and aggressive growth plans of the organization
? Develops and implements the strategic and tactical operating plans for the Indianapolis market
? Identifies key strategic relationships, tailors affiliation models and negotiates and closes transactions
? Coordinates the development of business plans, valuations, acquisition plans and business terms for all centers added or expanded within the market.
? Works closely with Corporate Business Development team in determining appropriate affiliation structures to offer potential partners
? Facilitates the due diligence process for any business acquisitions. Manages development process from Letter of Intent through final contract negotiations. Ensures all new affiliations are efficiently and effectively made operational.
? Increases market share for existing operations by further expanding the company's reach.
? Works closely with corporate functional areas, as well as the local operations staff within the market, to ensure smooth and successful integration and implementation of services into existing centers.
? Organizes, plans and directs multiple related activities both within and external to the system. Establishes operations initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee relations in the Indianapolis market.
? Supports the payer contracting process for the Indianapolis market
? Evaluates operational issues to determine whether the market is competitive and staying current with the latest trends in healthcare delivery
? Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments
? Working with Marketing, develops marketing campaigns for new products, services and centers. This includes formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each
? Develops and implements a radiologist practice enhancement program for active radiologists on staff
? Prepares Board presentations for various audiences
? Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior

? Skill with data analysis and figure aptitude with a high level of accuracy
? Skill with interpersonal relationships and ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and outside contacts. Desire to work within a team environment.
? BA/BS degree in healthcare, management or finance or a related field required. MBA or MHA strongly preferred.
? Requires 10 to 15 years of demonstrated success in management and collaboration of a sales force in the healthcare industry
? Must have proven and effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
? A thorough knowledge of the Minnesota provider, payer and employer communities necessary.
? Must be able to speak, read and write English
