Vice President, Product Development Vertafore, Inc.
Executive leader to drive product development strategy and lead daily operations for development teams in the US and India. The ideal candidate is someone who has grown dynamic teams and is very comfortable tackling highly complex technical and architectural challenges, while sustaining a regular product release cycle. Must have extensive experience building enterprise class Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products and platforms, while leveraging the latest technology and software design principles

Professional and Technical Competencies
Strong executive presence and leadership capability.
Proven track record of optimizing processes, organizing activities, and engaging people, while juggling multiple concurrent and competing priorities.
Java / Oracle experience and SOA experience as core technology background required.
Well versed in SOA, open-source technologies, architecture and software design, agile methodologies, SaaS, PaaS, product development life cycle.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to function on all levels, including executive, peer group, technical and customers.
Capable of, and comfortable, dealing with conflict while driving for concrete resolution.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing business priorities.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in design and development of enterprise class products, including a minimum of 6 years in a management position.
Recent and significant experience as a VP or Senior Director of Development with responsibility for developing software solutions delivered in a SaaS environment, responsible for delivering a 7/24/365 product and frequent, regular on-time releases.
Must have extensive experience developing multi-tenant SaaS software.
BS degree in related technical discipline.
