Market Assessment & Intelligence: To become an expert on the market, the competitive landscape, customer pain points, customer purchasing process, EdgeCast products and services, including performing SWAT analysis, and key differentiators.
Help define and execute EdgeCast's product marketing strategy: Work with other EdgeCast executives and ensure alignment with corporate marketing, product management, sales and channel teams.
Positioning and Messaging: Develop detailed product positioning and messaging that focuses on competitive differentiators, including data sheets, brochures and collateral for the Website, and is designed for internal and external consumption.
Execute the go-to-market plan and product release: Work with appropriate teams to execute on all stages of the product release cycle including training, contracts, service orders, channels, communication, and announcements.
Demand generation: Contribute to the development of ideas that might help corporate marketing in demand generation, lead generation, or thought leadership campaigns across various communication mediums (Website, blogs, social media, and etc..)
Management: manage, inspire and motivate a growing team of product marketers, while ensuring execution of the broader product marketing strategy, deliverables, standards, and best practices.
BA/BS; MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in technology marketing (B2B preferred)
5+ years experience in marketing leadership role
Strong communicator with excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Good understanding of complex sales engagement that are often of a consultative nature
Strong research, quantitative and analytical skills
Demonstrable experience creating strategic plans, implementing programs, and developing content for B2B products/solutions Success handling multiple simultaneous programs across channels with the ability to react quickly based on results
An innovative thinker who is able to work across functional silos and interface with multiple disciplines within the organization
Ability to evangelize products and communicate their key benefits to internal and external stakeholders, including press and analysts, customers/prospects, channel and technology partners, field sales, executives, and other business
Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment, experience and leadership skills
Experience with telecommunications carriers, content delivery networks or enterprise software preferred
CDN industry experience a plus
