Position Description
Leads the overall strategy and manages all daily project management activities, including project schedule development, project budget, team leadership, project communication, staffing activities, status reporting, and resource plan development. Identifies and tracks critical path/activities, risks, contingencies and alternatives. Supervises and mentors core group of project staff for the development and execution of high quality cross- functional plans for projects.
Key Responsibilities
Drives the development and manages the execution of high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for projects
Applies project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects
Responsible for planning and implementing budget
Lead data-driven decision-making in order to make solid, objective recommendations for continuation, acceleration, reprioritization, redesign or termination of projects.
Organizes interdepartmental activities to ensure completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints
Manage the scientific collaborations of research, development and clinical for the efficient execution of the company?s project plans.
Responsible for establishing and monitoring project goals as well as criteria for all key decision points
Responsible for reports on program progress and elevation of issues, as appropriate, to management
Lead data-driven decision-making in order to make solid, objective recommendations for continuation, acceleration, reprioritization, redesign or termination of projects.
Work closely with all team members to apply project management processes such as definition, initiation, planning, execution and risk management.
Facilitate interdepartmental communications
Qualifications and Experience
B.S., MBA a plus and a minimum of 15 years of relative work experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in pharmaceutical program management role
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines in a fast- paced work environment
Demonstrated experience managing pharmaceutical projects within preclinical, clinical and regulatory operations
Demonstrated leadership in team setting with strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive
Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong listening and organizational skills
Demonstrated hand?s on capability
