This is a vital, senior-level position responsible for planning, developing and executing corporate strategies around the installation and activation of MegaPath?s broadband and IP managed security services. The VP of Service Delivery will work cross functionally with all divisions in the company AND key vendors and service providers outside the company to achieve the best possible installation customer experience. Accountability for operational goals, customer satisfaction goals and budgetary targets will be an essential part of this position.
Determine the strategic and tactical direction of the installation function to ensure the achievement of corporate goals related to revenue achievement and customer satisfaction
Oversee hiring, training, and career development of team members
Define and implement policies, procedures, metrics, and standard processes related to Customer installation activity in order to achieve both operational and financial goals
Carry out continual analysis of customer activity, team performance, and company processes to identify areas of improvement, develop appropriate improvement plans, and lead the achievement of positive results
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to provide cost-effective, on time delivery of service
Provide consistent reporting and analysis to all company stakeholders
Partner cross functionally to develop productive and mutually beneficial relationships that meet strategic and tactical objectives
Develop and manage to budgets and strategic & tactical operating plans
Create and foster a high-quality work environment that helps attract, motivate and retain high quality team members
This position requires the following skills and experience:
8 to 10 years of operational leadership experience, preferably in the area of service delivery
Working knowledge of the telecommunications industry, preferably with experience in IP communications, broadband data circuit installation, and/or managed security services
3 to 5 years of Director and/or VP-level experience
Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
Proven ability to develop a vision, strategy and tactics related to customer experience and the delivery of products and services
Proven ability to lead large organizations with skills related to motivation, performance management, hiring, and developing people
Proven ability to create KPIs and achieve results related to customer experience, productivity and operating expense
Proven ability to implement continuous improvement-based operations practices to achieve and exceed performance standards and financial targets (for example lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc)
Experience with workflow management systems
Proven ability to develop and execute a strategy for leveraging software and systems that enhance operational process, including familiarity with business user requirement development, partnerships with software organizations, user acceptance testing, launch planning, user adoption, etc.
Experience managing successful vendor/supplier relationships, both strategic procurement of services and business process outsourcing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and relate well with others from a variety of backgrounds and levels
Strong presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
