The Vice President of Software Development is directly responsible for the strategy and consistent successful delivery of Custom and Sharepoint services. Equally important in this role is the building of business (growing revenue) per the Custom Development business plan and key metrics. This is a highly visible role with a direct ability to impact the Company?s growth and service offerings. Working closely with the Executive Committee, this role will be part of the leadership team. The internal teams managed by this role include consultants, project managers and architects as well as off-shore external partner.
Day-to-day group and project operations as needed, client issues and scheduling (projects, recurring services)
Problem / Conflict Resolution (recurring services and projects)
Client satisfaction surveys review and response (if negative)
Collaboration with other PLA groups in order to maintain consistency in project delivery standards and solutions offered
Weekly schedule / utilization review
Business Development and Sales
Identify new technologies or services for revenue generation and assist with development of new custom applications services offerings
General oversight and ongoing relationship building with existing clients
Oversight and delivery of assessments as part of the pre-sales process
Management and review of CRM system, advance opportunities through sales cycle
Maintain and expand relationships with key business partners and vendors
Design strategic growth plans for Software Development that include service utilization expansion and development
Know trends in the market and emerging technologies; and how they relate to future client needs
Project Planning and Oversight
High-level project process / methodologies - development, review and redesign
Maintain P&L overall goals for groups based on performance and budget plan
Work with Group Managers and other group leads to maximize utilization
Projects/Solutions documentation and training
Review of Project Plans (done by Project Managers)
Prepare or review of SOWs (done by Project Managers or Corporate Sales)
Project scheduling, oversight, tracking and reporting
Professional Training and Career Development
Technical training - planning and coordination
Staff mentoring and career development
Lead PLA training and improvement initiative for group overall
Qualifications and Experience:
10+ years? operations and delivery experience in technology industry.
10+ years? business development and sales experience in technology industry.
10+ years? management experience with strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
College degree, preferably Bachelors of Science, or equivalent experience. Graduate degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft solutions and service offerings.
This position will report to the Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Strategy.
