The VP SAM is responsible for managing the relationship with several strategic software partners. He/she will develop the strategic plan and execute against its vision. He/she builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships. The VP SAM understands the unique inner workings of each partner and ensures NSi works to seamlessly integrate with them. He/she ensures the long term health of NSi with each partner by creating, developing and deploying unique programs (spiffs, contests, vertical bundles, customer promotion, etc. The VP SAM orchestrates the formal release with each strategic partner of NSi products including the core NSi AutoStore platform Mobile, Web and Output Management.
Creates and/or manages strategic corporate relationships with multi-billion dollar software/service partners such as IBM, SAP and OpenText
Defines long-term strategic plans aligned with NSi corporate initiatives, rallies NSi behind the plan and delivers on revenue growth targets
Ethically engages each strategic partner to ascertain their various cultures, ecosystems and lines of business systems. Armed with this knowledge:
Translates this into working business development initiatives
Trains NSi personnel to effectively work within these partner constraints
Aligns NSi business systems with that of each partner
Launches NSi products into each managed relationships including activities such as: software certification, pricing system enablement, contract addendum, training deployment, marketing initiatives, etc.
Creates supporting material for new business development initiatives, content may include training content, channel launch material (collateral, web-content, etc.), customer facing documentation.
Develops strategic programs targeted at unique challenges or to align with key initiatives with each strategic partner
Reports progress to NSi executive team on a regular basis
Defines, deploys and manages an effective partner ecosystem targeted at Software VARs/System Integrators
Works closely with internal and external NSi Field Sales to ensure success with each strategic partner
Technical proficiency to self-configure and deliver benchmark product demonstrations
Able to develop justifiable business case in defense of proposed program(s).
Communication skills required to persuade NSi executive team and motivate the larger NSi organization to deliver on SAM programs
Excellent at internal and external networking across the entire organizational structure. Relationships must be formed at the Field Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, Procurement and at C-level
Public speaking: must be comfortable representing NSi at various tradeshows, external partner events, industry analyst briefings, etc.
Existing and healthy corporate relationships with IBM, SAP or OpenText.
Direct experience with indirect sales channels supporting these parent organizations (VARs, System Integrators, etc.).
At least 5 years previous experience managing Software Value Added Resellers (VARs) relationships
Five plus years management experience.
Prior knowledge of NSi Software Products (NSi AutoStore, Output Manager, Mobile, etc.)
Working knowledge of Microsoft CRM and SharePoint 2013
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView, Jaspersoft, Birst, Microsoft BI, etc.
Market knowledge of transactional distribute capture
Deep vertical knowledge in one or more of the following: Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Education
Knowledge of SaaS
Multi-lingual, preferably Japanese
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or related software discipline
MBA or five years? experience in Marketing and/or Business Development
