Summary
This position is responsible for the production and fulfillment of video media players including the configuration of hardware, software and content management systems (CMS). This position will provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for all of PlayNetwork?s video networks. This position will report directly to the Video Operations Supervisor and work closely with clients, technicians, customer service and the account management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Management of video hardware configuration and player fulfillment needs.
?Proactively manage inventory requirements, product returns and product repairs.
?Provide sales support for new business and client opportunities.
?Act as technical liaison between hardware/software manufacturers and other internal teams to drive product and technology decisions.
?Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software and network issues.
?Perform testing for software updates and technology development initiatives.
?Maintain Video Operations NOC and internal video networks.
?Configure and maintain servers for client video networks.
?Manage research of client requirements, industry trends and future technology to drive strategic business decisions and support business growth.
?Participate in after-hours support, ability to be on call and travel as required.
General Responsibilities:
?Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and internal teams.
?Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects and meet critical client deadlines.
?Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience/Education:
?Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
?3 or more years of related video and computer hardware experience
Technical Experience:
?Digital signage and video content management systems.
?Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software setup, network configuration, troubleshooting and repair.
?Advanced knowledge of Linux operating system.
?Advanced knowledge of audio and video systems, including video media playback devices, video display technology, video content resolutions, cabling and connection types
