Job Functions
Each business developer is responsible for the finding and closing new opportunities for Empyrean?s HR technology and services group within a defined region of the US. Activities include finding prospective clients through creative means, qualifying opportunities based on Empyrean?s business needs and the prospect?s requirements, management of client meetings at the client site and at Empyrean?s service center in Houston, Texas, meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals, and positively contributing to Empyrean?s evolution as a top-tier HR services provider and business in general.
To fulfill this role, the Senior Business Developer must:
? Have a demonstrated track record of sales strategy, planning and execution abilities;
? Possess a strong understanding of human resources, healthcare and the employer/employee dynamic;
? Have proven experience developing and building relationships with senior level executives;
? Be a confident, self-starting and achievement oriented individual who can actively listen to clients, identify needs and match client needs to Empyrean capabilities;
? Be able to qualify and respond to leads by crafting and presenting impactful client offers including partnering with the Empyrean management team in identifying and navigating alternative paths to make the sale;
? Have exemplary consultative selling skills;
? Have demonstrated abilities in collecting and sharing market intelligence and incorporating it into the sales strategy, planning and execution processes;
? Possess strong sales forecasting and pipeline management capabilities;
? Be able to work effectively with a multitude of people and organizations;
? Have a high level of energy and productivity; and
? Be team oriented while possessing effective leadership skills.
Qualifications
? College degree;
? 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a current provider of health and welfare administration services and a working knowledge of US health benefits;
? A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and Internet Explorer;
? Advanced written and verbal communication skills; and
? Demonstrated analytical capabilities
