Description:Plateau is seeking a Visual Designer to work out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA.
Job Duties include:
Translate UX specifications into high resolution design comps.
Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including the visual design of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, and user interface elements
Create final artwork and specifications
Document the visual standards
Develop HTML shells to be used by the UI development team
Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and business analysts to create visually appealing and compelling User Experience
Effectively and efficiently communicate with a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
Be a responsible and engaged member of the team who helps drive the product to completion
Required qualifications:
Solid graphic design aesthetic and skills
3 years of experience designing online application Visual UI
Experience translating wireframes into successful Visual UI
Experience with corporate and/or product identity design
Solid expertise CSS/HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator skills
Flash and Flex skins/styles skills are a plus
Excellent communications skills
Working knowledge of browser-based technology constraints/capabilities
Working knowledge of interaction design principles
Team collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, related visual design field, or commensurate experience.
