SugarSync is looking for an experienced visual designer with a passion for building clean and innovative experiences that span browsers, desktops, and the latest mobile devices. This is a 40-hour per week contract with the potential of converting to a salaried position. Key responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to produce pixel perfect and brand-appropriate design deliverables across desktop, mobile, web, and email interfaces
Develop and establish our UI kit and visual user interface styles
Communicate with front-end engineering to make sure designs conform to visual style
Push the boundaries to create better, innovative experiences for our users
3+ years of visual design experience for consumer applications using a clean, sophisticated design sensibility
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)
Interface design for desktop (Windows, Mac), mobile (iOS, Android,), web, and email
Knowledge of the latest visual design trends, and an appreciation of interaction design principles
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), well organized, self-starter, strong attention to detail, flexible, resourceful, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, quick intellect, natural curiosity, mentoring and multi-tasking skills
Education - BFA/MFA or equivalent experience
Compensation - As much as we would like to give you a rate range, we must first understand your technical capabilities and your fit for the position. Please know that our rates are competitive for the Silicon Valley market.
