Visual Designer Romotive
Min Experience: 2-4 years
We?re Romotive, a team of nerds obsessed with building an affordable, fun personal robot. Our first product, Romo, is an iDevice-powered robot that lets you video chat with anyone, anywhere in the world. Our investors believe we?ll change the world by putting a robot in every home in America. We?re well funded by SV Angel/Ron Conway, Mike Arrington, Chris Dixon, Tony Hsieh, and Stanford University.
We?re a tight tribe. We design our hardware and software in The Ogden, an apartment building in downtown Las Vegas where most of us live and work. When we aren?t coding, soldering, or checking production lines at our factory in China, we?re probably playing Starcraft or rock climbing at the local gym.
Our mission is simple: build awesome robots that make normal peoples? lives better. If this sounds totally f@$king awesome, Romotive is the place for you.
What we?re looking for:
You've designed for a variety of media and target audiences.
You mull over every detail and fight for pixel perfection in every design choice.
You possess extraordinary illustration skills.
You're fearless when it comes to testing and iterating on new designs.
What you'll be working on:
Creating beautiful user interfaces for our web and mobile applications.
Product branding through the development of Romotive?s public "personality."
Creating an overall unity between the look and feel of our products.
You can animate, and are passionate about it.
You have industrial design experience.
You love robots. Obv.
Position is full time. You start yesterday. What? You?re not already on a plane to Vegas? We subsidize your rent, provide a comprehensive meal plan cooked by Chef Bobby, pay for gym memberships, and give you 100% health, vision, and dental insurance. You also get 5k to set up the development environment that you?ve dreamed about but never had.
Along with your resume, please also submit your portfolio and best design of a new Romo face (that fits in: 320px x 480px).
