Job Descriptions:
Venafi is looking for a creative, passionate, and energetic Visual Designer who wants to make a huge impact on a company that has a strong demand for artistic skill.
The Visual Designer is responsible for delivering inspired, forward thinking graphic design to be used throughout the company. Marketing collateral, product development designs, and company image will all be part of the Visual Designer?s contribution. The Visual Designer will also act as the go-to person for anything involving graphic arts or creative design company wide.
The Visual Designer will be relied upon for graphic design, layout, and aesthetic, and also for artistic, avant-garde designs that introduce new, progressive, and highly creative ideas into the company presentation.
The Visual Designer will work closely with Product Management and with Marketing. The job will involve a dual role of creating graphic art and collateral for the marketing department, as well as creating visual design and graphic assets for product management, including: interface mockups, product screens, high-fidelity comps, icons, high-fidelity UI assets, and related product assets.
The Visual Designer will be working very closely with all stakeholders, including user experience, product management, marketing, sales, sales engineering, and documentation. The Visual Designer will work closely with documentation writers to help develop aesthetically pleasing documentation presentation.
The Visual Designer will act as a creative visionary, artist, and contributor in the presentation of the company, ensuring compelling, stunning visuals and aesthetic.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s (BFA) degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Web Design , Multi-media studies, related field, or equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge of Adobe?s Creative Suite 5, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Ability to move fluently from marketing design, to branding, to web design, to product design
Comprehensive portfolio of work and demonstration of abilities
5 + years of visual design experience.
Knowledge concerning mockups, wireframes, and prototypes
Knowledge of print and pre-press file preparation.
Ability to conceive and develop corporate branding, image, and style.
General technical competency required.
Self-starting, hard-working and inquisitive personality.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience giving presentations to internal and external customers.
Must work well with others of all personality types in an intense environment.
Teamwork, attention to detail, and great communication skills are required.
Understanding of HTML, CSS a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
Visual design experience in web and application assets.
Graphic art experience in marketing and print/digital collateral.
Knowledge or strong interest in tradeshow exhibit design and collateral
Competency in writing and manipulating HTML/CSS.
User Interface and User Experience fluency a plus.
Description of Responsibilities:
Create stunning and effective visual design for product development.
Create stunning and effective marketing collateral for the marketing department.
Create stunning and effective visual design for the company image.
Help create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for product development.
Maintain a clear, consistent, widely adopted company style guide including typography, colors, branding requirements, image requirements, and an asset library for company members to reference.
Innovate designs and collateral that are at the forefront of design and aesthetic.
Work closely with User Experience to develop and conceive visual design for product development.
Act as the visual and aesthetic co-owner for company materials and collateral.
Develop web focused assets for the company website, online advertising, and landing pages.
Contribute to and participate in the development of product mock-ups that concisely communicate to the engineering and quality assurance teams the user experience of the resulting product.
Participate in all aspects of user experience design and development cycle.
Work closely with marketing to ensure consistent company and product branding (and look and feel) across the corporate web sites and product suite.
Work closely with professional services as necessary, to create custom visual assets to meet specific customer needs.
Research, learn and implement new technologies to develop background for successful product definition.
