VLSI Product Engineer - Hot Startup Opportunity Tilera
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED As a Product Engineer you will be a key team member responsible for new product development and product lifecycle management in collaboration with Marketing, Design, DFT, and Manufacturing teams for high-performance Tilera's manycore processors. As one of the primary product technical resources you will work with our silicon manufacturer, suppliers, vendors, assembly/test houses, pro-actively driving product test, electrical characterization, datasheet creation, qualification, yield analysis/improvements, customer support, cost reduction programs, off-shore transfers, reliability modeling and specifications, and customer quality issues. You will also maintain accuracy and consistency between Tilera?s product specifications in data sheets/test program specs, limits and guard bands.
Support ATE and system level testing, including production, characterization, debug, and qualification
Work with wafer foundry and internal teams to define process splits and other material needed for new and existing products and used in product bring-up and verification, SKU definition, and silicon and package qualifications
Define and drive reliability testing and develop reliability models for new and existing products including ESD, Latchup, and Burn-in.
Drive the creation and maintenance of a manufacturing test database and associated tools to be used to analyze production, characterization, and qualification data for yield and quality improvement efforts
Manage debug efforts and design DOEs to understand low yielding lots and define maverick material screens, statistical bin limits, and in-line quality monitors
Create and maintain yield models and work with Marketing and Planning as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.
Support local and overseas production efforts and QA testing in order to meet committed shipment schedules
Help analyze customer returns; assist in Root Cause Corrective Action
Define and document binning and fusing specifications, manufacturing flows, marking specs, non-conforming materials rules, system-to-tester correlation plans, and ATE and system characterization plans.
5+ years Semiconductor industry experience, with emphasis on Product Engineering
BSEE, materials science or other relevant degree
Great understanding of ATE programs. Preferably Verigy 93K
Solid experience with system level characterization and production system level testing
Proficiency in testing complex processors with multiple high-speed interfaces
Expertise defining and maintaining a manufacturing test data base and associated tools
Familiarity with device physics, semiconductor fabrication and assembly
